Installation narrative:

Contraposto's warehouse, essentially an atelier or artists' loft, functions as the site where online, commissioned orders are created, packaged and shipped. The behind-the-scenes performance of this environment was spotlighted in a 1999 gallery exhibition. The Company relocated its warehouse and product manufacturing facilities to a Southern California art gallery, where, for the month of December, Contraposto conducted all of its business inside the gallery for public viewing.
